365 in 2010: April Completed

April started with a great trip to San Francisco, and ended with getting my wisdom teeth removed. Quite an interesting set of bookends.

April was definitely a very interesting month for me. I was sick multiple times, ended up finally making something happen with a girl I've been interested in for a while, began what is sure to be the quarter of hell, started a new job, started a very exciting (and stressful) filming project at school, and of course, ended with my wisdom teeth removed. All in all, a good month for blogging.

However, now that April is over and done with, now we can move on to my favorite month: May. This, of course, is partially due to my birthday, but May is also great because it is when all the great summer blockbusters kick off. I'm sure I'll have a lot more to say about this in later posts.

Four months down, eight more to go.

365 in 2010: March Completed

March was by by far the most difficult month so far in which to continuously post. A lot of things contributed to making it not only difficult to physically be able to post, but also to find the desire to even want to. However, March saw not only the one year anniversary of my blog, but also a variety of decent posts that I think contributed to it somewhat being a success. Hopefully, April will be even better.

Three months down, nine more to go.

Days Completed: 90
Days to Go: 275

365 in 2010: February Completed

February always seems to go by quicker than most months, no doubt due to the fact that there are only 28 days. As such, I actually forgot that yesterday was the last day in February, which means that with yesterday's post, I have successfully completed 1/6th of my goal to post an entry for everyday of the year.

This has definitely been no easy task, as everyday it seems like it gets more difficult to find something interesting to post. Not to mention my days are so busy sometimes that I don't really have the time to sit on my computer and type. Oh well, I made this goal and I have to stick with it for as long as I can.

Two months down, just ten more to go...

Days Completed: 59
Days to Go: 306

365 in 2010: January Completed

30 days ago, I set out to post in this blog everyday for a year, and with this entry, I have successfully completed 1/12th of that goal. 31 days in January; 31 days down.

I have to to say, about seven days into it, I was already regretting my decision. I would sit down and have nothing to type; nothing to share. It occurred to me that there are going to be some days I have absolutely nothing worthwhile to post, yet I soldiered on and made it.

Now I just have 11 months to go. Piece of cake.

Days Completed: 31
Days to Go: 334

365 in 2010

When I first started this blog, way back in March of 2009, I intended it to be an outlet to share whatever interests were currently on my mind. If I just saw a funny video on YouTube, I'd post a blog entry. If I fell in love with a particular song, I'd post a blog entry. If there was an upcoming art show, I'd post a blog entry. Simply put, if I found anything I'd want to share with a friend, I'd post a blog entry.

However, as the year came to an end, I realized that my blog was a perfect outlet to really write. Whether it's summarizing how an academic quarter went, sharing the events of a memorable night, or simply sharing a piece of poetry I've written, my blog gives me the excuse to write; something of which I need to do a lot more.

So, I've decided to take my blog to the next level and post everyday. It's time I use my blog to its fullest potential by posting 365 posts in 2010, starting with this one.

365 in 2010. This is going to be a busy year.

Reflections/Resolutions

As 2009 comes to an end, it's inevitable that we reflect on the year that was. As with every year, a lot happened; new friendships were formed, some friendships were lost, I started an art "career", etc. All in all, 2009 was a good year, but I feel like 2010 will be even better.

Where 2009 was a year where I was still trying to figure out what I wanted and where I wanted to go, 2010 will be a year where I make things happen. It's time I take a more proactive role at school; not just in my education, but also in how my school works. It's time I take my art seriously and actually consider myself an artist, as opposed to a "wannabe artist", like I've previously seen myself. It's time I find a decent paying job, so that I can actually do the things I want to do. 2010 will not be a year where I'm hindered by lack of money. It's time I get into some form of regular workout regimen. I don't need to get ripped, but I do need to start taking my health seriously. And for crying out loud, it's time to find a girlfriend, because honestly, being single for over three years is just way too long.

This coming year, I'm not making any traditional resolutions that I'll just forget about. Rather, 2010 is the start of my future, and it's time I take charge of what I want that future to be. By this time next year, I'll be closer to the man I want to be. I hope you all can say the same. Happy New Year to all of you. Have fun, be smart and be safe.
