First of all, for those of you whom have never gone and experienced Second Saturday, I definitely encourage you to do so. On the second Saturday of each month, galleries in Sacramento, California stay open for a Sacramento Art Walk late into the evening, allowing people to walk from gallery to gallery, viewing, experiencing and discovering local art galleries and meeting artists. It's a lot of fun and there are always a lot of great shows. Next week, on March 14th, my buddy Jim Sheperd is going to be having his first solo showing, so go out and support him. Here's the info:
Come on out and check out his artwork. I think he's going to have somewhere in the range of 100 portraits, plus there will be live shows, so it promises to be a good show. It's all ages and the best part - IT'S FREE!! You have no reason
not to go. Also, all pieces will be on sale, so you might just snag yourself some fancy art.
