NLCShame

For those of you that don't know, I'm originally from Los Angeles. Born and raised for years prior to moving up to Sacramento. Although it's been 10 years since I've actually lived there, I will always think of it as my first home.

Like most Los Angeleans, the LA Dodgers are my team. I followed them religiously when I lived down there, until I moved up north and couldn't catch a regular Dodgers' game on TV. So, you can imagine my excitement with them being in the playoffs, which means A) they're doing well and B) I'll be able to see them play.

That excitement, however, has turned into disappointment as they are now down 2 games in the National League Championship Series against the Phillies. Even in the single game they actually won, they were a disappointment, starting the game off horribly.

Unfortunately, I'm used to being disappointed by the Dodgers. It happened year after year back in LA. What makes it especially sad this time around is I had finally decided to believe again. To let myself hope. After all, wasn't that the message on the political trail this time last year - Hope? Silly me.

It's not quite the end. The Dodgers would have to win 3 in a row, but it could happen. I'm just not putting my faith behind it.
